Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Sleep Bible (the “Service”), operated by SetApart Ministries (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in South Africa, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

The Service includes the Sleep Bible mobile application (iOS and Android) and the Sleep Bible website at sleepbible.app, including all related features, content, and functionality.

2. Description of Service

Sleep Bible is a faith-based audio content platform that provides narrated Bible stories, meditations, prayers, and sleep-focused content with calming soundscapes. The Service is designed to help users deepen their faith while preparing for sleep.

3. Accounts & Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorised access

You may sign in using your email address or via third-party authentication providers (Google, Apple). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Free Tier

Sleep Bible offers a free tier with limited access, including one chapter per day and select ambient sounds. No payment is required for the free tier.

4.2 Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions unlock unlimited content, all narrators, all ambient sounds, sleep plans, offline downloads, and additional features. Premium is available as:

• Monthly: $9.99/month (USD)
• Yearly: $59.99/year (USD) — save 50%

4.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through the platform where you subscribed:

• Mobile (iOS/Android): Billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Managed via your respective app store account settings.
• Web: Billed through Paddle. Managed via your Sleep Bible account settings.

Subscription management and entitlement verification is handled by RevenueCat to ensure consistent access across all platforms.

4.4 7-Night Peace Guarantee (Free Trial)

We offer a 7-night free trial (“7-Night Peace Guarantee”) for Premium subscriptions. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate.

4.5 Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period, after which your subscription will not renew.

You may request a full refund within 14 days of any payment. Refund requests made within 14 days of the charge date will be honoured in full. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

5. Content & Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content available through Sleep Bible — including audio narrations, text, images, soundscapes, music, and compilations — is owned by or licensed to SetApart Ministries and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Limited Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Copy, redistribute, or publicly perform our content
• Download content except through official offline features
• Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the content for commercial purposes
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems to access the Service

5.3 Bible Text

Bible text used in Sleep Bible is from the World English Bible (WEB), which is in the public domain. Our narrated audio recordings of this text are original productions and remain our intellectual property.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
• Circumvent any content protection or access restrictions

7. Availability & Modifications

We strive to keep Sleep Bible available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time
• Update, change, or remove content without prior notice
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability

We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by the unavailability of the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
• The content will be accurate or complete
• Any defects will be corrected

Sleep Bible is a devotional and entertainment service. The content is not intended as professional spiritual counselling, medical advice, or a substitute for professional help.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, SetApart Ministries (Pty) Ltd and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SetApart Ministries (Pty) Ltd from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notifying you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
